Privacy Policy

This describes, honestly and specifically, what Mo Media & Marketing actually collects through this website and what it's used for. It is not written or reviewed by an attorney, and it is not a substitute for legal advice — privacy requirements vary by location, so please consult a lawyer for anything that depends on a specific legal guarantee.

Information you give us

If you fill out the “Request a Free Website Preview” form, we collect your name, business name, phone number and/or email, and anything else you choose to type in — for example, your current website or what you need help with. This information goes directly into our own customer system so we can follow up about your request. We don't sell it, and we don't share it with advertisers.

Information collected automatically

  • A basic, anonymized visit log — which page was viewed, what site referred you here (if any), your general device type, and a one-way scrambled version of your IP address that cannot be reversed back to the original. This does not use a cookie and is not tied to your name or any account.
  • Cookies — a small number of first-party cookies for keeping the site working and remembering your cookie choice, and (only with your permission) one optional cookie that remembers a homepage design preference. See our Cookie Policy for the full, actual list.

Marketplace Posting Tool subscribers

  • Payments are handled by Stripe. Stripe collects your card details; we never see or store your card number. We receive your name, email address, and the status of your subscription and payments so we can send your access code, keep your access working, and answer billing questions.
  • The app's access check sends your access code and a random ID created for that install (so one code can be limited to 2 computers) to our server. We record when each computer last checked in. Your cars, photos, dealership details, and Facebook login stay on your own computer and are never sent to us.
  • Emails about your subscription (your access code, receipts, and billing notices) are sent to the address you subscribed with.

Business emails we send

We may email local businesses about our services using business contact details they have published publicly, such as on their own website or public business listing. Every one of these emails includes our mailing address and an unsubscribe link. If you unsubscribe or ask us to stop, we add your address to a do-not-contact list and keep it there so we never email you again. If you reply, we keep your message to answer it.

Companies that help us run this site

We use a small number of service providers only to operate our business: Vercel (website hosting and file storage), Neon (our database), Resend (sending and receiving email), Stripe (payments), and Upstash (scheduling automated tasks), and, only if you allow Analytics cookies, Google (Google Analytics, see below). They process information on our behalf and are not allowed to use it for their own marketing. Like any website, our hosting provider and security tools may briefly process your IP address and browser details to deliver pages and block abuse.

Third-party tracking

We use Google Analytics 4, a service of Google LLC, to understand which pages of this website are visited and how people find it. It runs only if you allow Analytics cookies (you can say no, or change your mind at any time from Cookie Settings in the footer; a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser counts as no). It sets the cookies _ga and _ga_<ID> for up to 2 years and sends Google your visit data, including your IP address (which Google Analytics 4 does not store in full) and browser details, so that it can produce reports for us. We have turned off Google's advertising features, so it is not used to show you ads or to build advertising profiles for us. We do not use any advertising pixel, such as a Facebook/Meta pixel, on this website. See Google's privacy policy for how Google handles data. If this ever changes, this page and our Cookie Policy will be updated before it starts, and it will respect your existing cookie choice.

How long we keep information

Information you submit through the preview request form is kept as part of our normal customer records for as long as we might reasonably follow up with you about your project. Subscriber and payment records are kept as long as we need them for billing, taxes, and accounting. Do-not-contact entries are kept permanently so an opt-out is always honored. Cookie choices are remembered for up to a year, or until you clear your browser's cookies.

Your choices

You can control optional cookies at any time from the “Cookie Settings” link in the footer of this site. You can ask us what information we have about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing us at the address below. We will take care of it, except for records we must keep (such as payment records required for taxes, or a do-not-contact entry that keeps us from emailing you again). We do not sell personal information.
